Baroque music refers to the dominant style of classical music composed in the West between 1600-1750. It was preceded by the Renaissance period and followed by the Classical period. This period established vocal music forms like the opera and instrumental forms like the concerto and the sonata, and one of its most popular forms was the dance suite.

Johann Sebastian Bach was composer from the late Baroque period. He was born in German in 1685 and died in 1750. Some of his most famous works include the Brandenburg Concertos, St. Matthew’s Passion, and his Mass in B minor.
